For the month of July, we sat down with our Digital Campaign Manager, Juan Mendivil. Keep reading to learn more about him and his role at the agency!
1. What is a typical day in your life?
Truthfully, there is no typical day in the life of a Digital Campaign Manager, especially when it comes to B2B Marketing. On some days I may have all meetings, while on other days I am working directly on client accounts for most of the day. In my opinion, I think this non-typical nature of the role keeps me intrigued and motivated daily.
2. How did you choose this career path?
I always saw myself working in the marketing/advertising industry, however, when I was younger, I believed that it would align more with television or radio. As the internet and technology improved over time, advertising moved over from traditional to digital. Around the same time, I stumbled upon my first job in the industry right after college and have loved it ever since.
3. What drew you to Elevation Marketing?
What drew me to Elevation Marketing were the people. During my first interview, I knew I was in the right place because I could tell right away that everyone at Elevation was sharp and top-caliber, as well as genuinely great people.
4. What would people never guess you do in your role?
People would probably never guess that I send out so many emails daily. At this point I am probably going through 30 – 50 emails a day.
5. In your mind, what sets Elevation apart from other agencies?
What sets Elevation apart from other agencies is the way we build and nurture our client relationships. They can be an existing client or a new one, either way the folks at Elevation always put their best foot forward.
6. Tell us something we may not know about you.
I am a “Cancer Moon” apparently (I didn’t know that until just recently). My girlfriend is big into astrology, so naturally, I gravitated towards the topic. I have a natural inclination to curious topics, especially ones that can have practical applications in our daily lives.
7. What’s your favorite thing to do in Phoenix?
I really like to explore the different restaurants in the Valley. I can say the food in Arizona, in general, is exquisite. Some of my tops so far are OHSO, Oceans 44, Fogo de Chão and Postinos.
